These are needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. They do not track you across other sites.

Our visit counter (no cookies)

Our own visit counter doesn't use cookies, but it does keep a small random code in your browser's storage. The code (fleet_vid) is replaced each day, so a second visit that day is not counted twice, and it goes only to our counter. If you click "Don't count me" at the bottom of any page, we save fleet_no_count in your browser so you are not counted again (it stays in your browser). The law allows this for site statistics without asking first, as long as you can opt out (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, Schedule A1, paragraph 5); see Counting visits in our privacy policy.

Analytics cookies

We set analytics cookies only after you accept them. They help us see which reviews are read and where people get stuck, so we can improve the content. You can decline them and the site will still work. These are the tools that load after you accept:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). Cookies: _ga, _ga_*. Purpose: visit counts, traffic sources and which pages are read.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). Cookies: _clck (1 year), _clsk (1 day), and on clarity.ms MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK. Purpose: heatmaps, scroll depth and session replay (no keystrokes are captured on form fields).
• Microsoft Bing (through Clarity). Clarity connects to c.bing.com, which sets MUID (about 13 months), SRM_B (about 13 months) and MR (7 days) on bing.com, so Microsoft can recognise the same browser across its own sites. We do not run Bing adverts or a Bing ads tag.

Changing your choice

You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time to be asked again. For any data protection question, the operator is Muswell Rose Consulting Ltd, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC186833.
